Automatic brake light and hazard light acturator

I m not sure 'actuator' is the right term to be used here, as least robert was laughing at it. I just wait for Robert to find me a better word to put.

The actuator, i rather say ' the device', aims to automatically turn on the brake lights and hazard lights on a vehicle when there is a crash or hit happen to the car.

The fact is, the rear brake light will not come on unless the drive put his foot down. However, when there is a crash, driver does not always response fast enough to step on the brake. In some circumstances, driver might be too nervous to put the hazard light after crash. This is dangerous. As without a proper signaling, the cars following behind may hit the car already crashed, and then, in the worst case, one more, one more, one more, one more, and more.........( They happens, i m sure.) This tends to be worse in a low visibility weather.

So, this project will create a device to automatically turn on the brake lights and hazard lights for you in the case of crash.

Task for both of us (week 1, 16 March-23 March):

Do some research on people died in multiple pile-up crashes. See if we can find some information about how and where crash happens and more useful bits and pieces.

Do some research on the latest crash prevention technology, signaling and others techniques that reduce the change of crash or multi pile-up crashes.
